An invitation for a new look
With this site we invite you to take a new look at life around you. This new look should be needed for a better understanding of reality and that, as we think, will be the first step to live happily.
If someone looks from the top to a standing cylinder, he sees no more than a round shape. And if he looks from the side, he will see only a rectangular shape. The reality of the cylinder can only be recognized if you look at the subject from different angles.
That also applies to the thoughts and opinions that we form about the world. Viewing and studying the world around us, from different sides, is necessary to see the truth. Otherwise we will live our lives based on wrong "assumptions".
Yes, if we make no effort to find the truth and the facts, our thoughts will not be more than "assumptions".
People are prone to see the events from only one certain angle. They listen to the same channels; they interact with the same friends and colleagues and they have studied the same schoolbooks. Consequently, their world’s view is poor and lacks meaningful depth.
If someone always goes to the same supermarket, he cannot tell whether this supermarket is a cheap or an expensive one. Only through collecting more information and comparing the prices and quality with those of other supermarkets can a fair assessment be made.
Example: The elephant and the rope
Dozens of websites tell the story of a traveller who saw a giant elephant in the forest. He watched as the elephant did the heavy work there. He also saw that a thin rope was tied around the legs of the elephant. Asking about the purpose of this rope, he was told that this rope is needed to keep the elephant from escaping.
The traveller replied: That is not possible! This elephant can easily break this rope with a small movement. The answer was: Yes, but the elephant doesn’t do that because this rope was tied when he was young and small and at that time he had tried to break it without success. The big elephant is now trapped in his children's thoughts and will not try to break the rope. He doesn’t know that it is now possible.
There are really hundreds of sites in different languages that tell this story and draw the conclusions. Their wise advice is clearly to not act like that elephant. A nice story and useful advice, they think.
Well, we think differently. We have looked at this story from different perspectives in order to both understand and see the truth.

The difference between smart people and the others is significant, and yet it is easy to be smart. Smart people, like you, don't just accept everything they hear. They make an effort to reach reality and to recognize the facts.
The elephant's rope is not as stated in all those sites. In reality, a rope is sometimes tied to a steel ring that surrounds the elephant's leg. Steel nails are attached to the inside of the ring. If the elephant wants to walk away, the nails would be pressed in his skin. The pain forces him not to escape. Other elephants are tied to their legs with steel chains or cables. Despite the pain, the elephant keeps trying to get released.
It is remarkable that so many people make no effort to seek the truth and keep their thoughts free, while that is precisely their advice or message in their sites. Hundreds repeat the story without bothering to find the truth. They also put drawings or unrealistic photos next to the story. They choose the easy way and they allow themselves to be misled. Of course nobody wants to be misled or to keep wrong thoughts. But if someone doesn’t want to make an effort to check his thoughts, he won’t even know that his thoughts are wrong.
With this site we want to encourage people to make the necessary effort to review and sort their thoughts. Which thoughts are true and based on facts and which are not? Which thoughts have been taken over without their intention or without thinking? Which are important, which are not? Which are prejudices? And which ones are childish? Only after doing this effort we can make wise decisions. That is certainly worth it if you want to find happiness.
The goal and the action
"Wherefore?" is an important question.
Imagine this: you will receive a new device as a gift. You have never seen or used such device before. Your first question would be: What is this device for? Only if you understand that correctly can you appreciate this gift. After the first "what for" follows the question: "how?". How can I use it safely? If you learn that properly, you can use the device and enjoy it. Without following the correct information, the device can be dangerous or harmful to the user or to the people around it.
With this site we want to help people to live happily and safely. We want to achieve this by encouraging them to think in the right way. By "the right way" we mean; based on logic, facts and science.
A lot can be achieved with simple logic
Many think that in order to draw an important or a large conclusion, a lot of knowledge must be involved or certain intelligence should be obtained. They think that the logic we use every day is not suitable for understanding the big things. They think that they should use some sort of complicated philosophical way of thinking for the big conclusions.
In reality, nothing is less true than these thoughts. All the important decisions in our live need nothing more than common sense, simple logic and known facts. Anyone can draw a big conclusion if he uses his healthy logic well. Of course this doesn’t mean that you have to believe or just follow everything and everyone without any doubt.
But one must realize that the brain and logic are very valuable tools for us. Living without using these tools, is like running in a forest with the eyes closed. There is no excuse for taking such a dangerous action and you will certainly come to regret it.
I do not share your opinion!
Distinguishing between an opinion and a fact is necessary. The natural laws are certainly not opinions, for example gravity is a fact. The existence of Antarctica is a fact. Perhaps none of the readers have visited or seen this continent, but because there are many other proofs and witnesses, it cannot be considered an opinion.
There are no opinions expressed on this site, or at least that is the intention. The scientific facts and logic that we collect here shouldn’t be confused with opinions. If someone doesn’t know the facts or doesn’t want to follow, he is in fact unwise and often irrational.
